Foiling / Labelling

The Foiling and Labelling machine applies the capping foil of a maximum length of 145mm, as well as adhering neck and bottle labels to each bottle.

Neck Freezer

The Neck Freezer freezes the yeast deposit into the neck of the bottle so it can be easily removed further in the process. The Neck Freezer is made from stainless steel and features a double glycol tank, allowing easy regulation of glycol levels.

Trays have one or two lines of 11 or 21 bottle cavities depending on the capacity of the model, capable of processing from 700 to 4,000 bottles per hour. Trays are mechanically processed through to the next stage of the disgorging line.

Automatic Disgorging

Suitable for medium to large-scale wineries, an automatic disgorging line requires no manual input but conveys each bottle through every stage of the disgorging process.

Most disgorging lines start with a Neck Freezer, and a fully automatic line will convey each and every bottle through the line of equipment to ensure that at the other end of the line, every bottle is mixed, corked, labelled and packaged identically.

A disgorging line will be specified based on each winemaker's specific needs, as two disgorging lines are rarely ever the same. The most common items are explored below but additional equipment is optional which can provide an added level of automation such as de-palletisers and packaging equipment.

Core offer a free consultation service to help winemakers to specify the equipment they need.

Disgorging-Dosing

The Disgorging-Dosing machine automatically removes the yeast-filled bidule from the bottle and immediately doses the bottle up to a specified level. This ensures even filling and even sugar dosage into all bottles.

Automatic Disgorging-Dosing machines process between 700 - 1,800 bottles per hour, the lower capacity model featuring four nozzles and a conveyor, and the higher capacity models featuring a rotor function with at least eight nozzles.

Corking and Wiring

The Corking and Wiring machine automatically inserts most types of corks into the disgorged and dosed bottles, and the wiring machine fastens the wire hood to the corked bottle.

The Corking machine senses the presence of the bottle, actuates the clamping of the bottle, and automatically inserts the cork to a specified level. The Wiring machine ensures a consistently flat ring on the fastened wire hood, for a smooth and consistent finish to every wine bottle, no matter what the output.

Washing and Drying

The Washing Drying machine washes debris, dust and residual glycol from each bottle and dries the bottle ready for labelling.

Compatible with standard, half and special bottles, as well as Magnums, each washer dryer offers an intensive brushing and efficient drying. Two rotary brushes and a constant flow of water ensure the cleanliness of the sides and underneath of the bottle, which is then silently dried in a turbine tunnel.
